What ENG 333 Is All About

"Creativity and innovation always build on the past."
- Lawrence Lessing

Writing is important. Obviously. We would have no knowledge of what happened in the past if it had not been documented in some way. Some of the most influential pieces of history today are journals written in haste and secret notes hidden in a wall. Documenting what we have done is vital for our growth as a society to be possible. However, the method in which we document our lives has definitely changed significantly in the past couple years. We live in the age of technology and it is so important that we embrace that. Not only do we now have the opportunity to better document our life, but we also have the duty to keep our ancestor's stories up to date and available.
Digital storytelling is basically how we document our lives today. We make videos or prezis or even blogs that allow us to document what are lives are like. It is is not strictly writing, but it is how we share our stories. Writing is not a thing of the past, but it has definitely evolved a lot from our cave drawing days (or maybe not so much because what is instagram really if not a lot of pictures on a "wall"?).
